  • Looking for a Student Intern

    Are you a born leader? Do you ever wish you could be more of a leader than a follower? Would you like to be mentored by other leaders in the nursing profession? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then the Leadership Intern Program might be for you!

    The Leadership Intern Program provides one member the opportunity to work closely with the leaders of the Gamma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. As the Leadership Intern, you will function as a leader-in-training within the organization.

  • Congratulations to Christina Woline

    We want to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to our Treasurer Christina Woline. She is the 2019 winner of the Ann Williamson Award for Leadership and Innovation in Nursing and Patient Care. "The award is given annually to a nurse, nurse leader, or other clinical professional who has demonstrated exceptional ability to lead and innovate in the care of patients and families and who has demonstrated key attributes needed in formal managerial and executive roles as well as among frontline clinicians." Congrats, Christina!

  • Congratulations to Michele Farrington!

    ​Congratulations to Michele Farrington for receiving the 2019 CLINICAL PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT AWARD (CPIA) given by Gamma Chapter – SIGMA (Sigma Theta Tau International). The purpose of the CPIA award is to recognize nurses in clinical practice who have demonstrated innovative and high quality practice. The award acknowledges active chapter members for demonstrated evidence of innovative and high-quality clinical practice that have contributed to improvement in the quality of patient care or services, has expanded access, and has had a positive financial impact, or has promoted important patient outcomes. Ms. Farrington was recognized for her efforts in ambulatory care to lead initiatives related to pain management , Evidence-Based Practice, and quality all with the goal of improving the patient experience. She will receive the award at the Spring Induction Ceremony April 13, 2019.
  • Gamma Chapter Nursing Fellows

    ​Sigma Foundation for Nursing’s Heritage Society has more than 400 Fellows who have made an investment in all generations of nurses around the world.

    Gamma Chapter has three fellows:

    Melanie Dreher

    We celebrate their philanthropy by recognizing them on November 30th in honor of the namesake of one of the fellowships, Virginia Henderson. We recognize her contributions to nursing on her birthday, and our members' generous Fellowship donation on this special day.
